Application boundaries

Check level, protocol and antenna clearance.

Final range and stability depend on the complete transmitter, receiver and installation.

Input-level boundary

DAT is a 3 V-level input, recommended range 2.2–3.6 V.

Use a 22 kΩ series resistor for 3.6–5 V outputs.

Use a 51 kΩ series resistor for 5–12 V outputs.

RF boundary

Do not place copper, routing or large metal below the PCB antenna.

Keep batteries, spring contacts and enclosure metal away from the antenna area.

Verify the final enclosure, battery and matched receiver before mass production.

* Test conditions: 10 dBm output power and 9 mA operating current are typical values at 3 V; current is specified at 40% modulation duty cycle.

Can DAT transmit UART text data?

No. DAT is a digital ASK/OOK modulation input; use an encoder IC or MCU pulse generation for the target protocol.

How should a 5 V MCU output connect?

For a 3.6–5 V output, use the datasheet-recommended 22 kΩ series resistor and verify the final input level.

Does the module decode the remote-control protocol?

No. Address code, key value and repeat-frame rules belong to the encoder or MCU and compatible receiver.

How should I place the antenna area?

Keep copper, routing, metal, batteries and spring contacts away from the integrated PCB antenna area.
