Typical applications

Compact paired control for small wireless products.

Use Ling-TR7mini-T where switch inputs and outputs need a compact 2.4 GHz wireless link with pairing.

Remote-control switches

Transmit and receive three switch-signal channels.

Smart appliances

Add paired wireless control to compact products.

Industrial controls

Transfer simple status and control signals wirelessly.

Small wireless terminals

Use the ceramic antenna where PCB space is limited.

System operation

One module, selectable transmit or receive behavior.

WM selects transmit or receive operation; MC selects momentary or toggle output behavior in receive mode.

Ling-TR7mini transmitter and receiver module system connection

Interface boundary: D1–D3 are switch-signal interfaces, not UART. Do not connect VCC directly to 5 V.

Pin assignment

Seven module connections

VCC
2.2–3.6 V positive supply; 3.0 V typical.
D1–D3
Low-level inputs in transmit mode; high-level outputs in receive mode.
KL
Pairing control; quickly double-press to ground to enter pairing.
MC
Floating selects momentary; high selects toggle.
WM
Floating selects transmit; high selects receive.
G
Common ground with the external circuit.

Operating modes

Three defined states

  1. TransmitWM floating; D1–D3 are low-level trigger inputs.
  2. Receive momentaryWM high and MC floating; outputs follow the paired key action.
  3. Receive toggleWM high and MC high; outputs toggle and hold.

Pairings are retained after power-off. Hold the pairing key for more than six seconds to clear stored IDs.

Integration notes

Protect the radio link in the finished product.

Actual range depends on power stability, antenna clearance, enclosure, mounting and local 2.4 GHz interference.

Power supply

Place 0.1 µF decoupling near VCC/G and add 4.7–22 µF bulk capacitance as required.

Signal routing

Keep D1–D3, KL, MC and WM short and away from switching and motor wiring.

Antenna clearance

Keep copper, batteries, shields and metal structures away from the ceramic antenna.

Final validation

Retest range and success rate with the final enclosure, orientation, harness and loads.

Is this a UART module?

No. D1–D3 are switch-signal inputs or outputs. The module does not expose a UART data interface.

How are transmit and receive selected?

Leave WM floating for transmit mode or drive it high for receive mode.

How many transmitters can one receiver remember?

One receiver stores up to 32 transmitter IDs and retains them after power-off.

Is 50 m guaranteed in the finished product?

No. It is an approximate open-line-of-sight reference. Verify range in the final assembly and installation.
