Typical applications

For compact ASK/OOK remote-control transmitters.

Ling-T3A provides the transmitter side of a learned remote-control link for switches, alarms, appliances, toys and other battery-powered controls.

Remote controls

Build compact handheld or key-panel transmitters with four active-high key inputs.

Wireless switches

Send encoded key commands to a compatible learned receiver.

Security & alarms

Use discrete key values for alarm, call and security-control triggers.

Appliances & toys

Integrate short-range remote-control functions where an on-board antenna is preferred.

System operation

Key input in. Encoded RF command out.

Pair the transmitter with a compatible Ling-R1-series receiver and validate the final enclosure, battery and RF environment.

Pins & key values

Four active-high key inputs.

Use isolation diodes for combined key inputs to prevent crosstalk.

Pin assignment

GND
Power ground; connect to system ground.
K0–K3
Active-high key inputs. K0, K1, K2 and K3 correspond to key values 0x08, 0x04, 0x02 and 0x01.
VCC
Positive supply, 2.2–5.5 V; 3.0 V typical.
LED
External LED connection as shown in Datasheet V2.1.

Key behavior

Single key
Each input sends its assigned FB1527 key value while asserted.
Combined key
The transmitted value is the sum of the individual key weights.
Pairing
Use with a compatible Ling-R1-series receiver; receiver pairing and output behavior are receiver-side.
More keys
For more keys, use the product architecture and receiver mode specified in the datasheet.

Integration notes

Protect the RF and key-input environment.

Final range and reliability depend on the completed transmitter, receiver and installation.

Power & I/O

Use 3 V or 3.3 V where practical and place a 0.1 µF decoupling capacitor near VCC.

Do not apply a voltage above VCC directly to key-input or external LED circuits.

Antenna & EMC

Keep the on-board antenna away from metal, batteries, large copper areas, shields and high-noise loads.

Test co-channel interference, range and final enclosure performance before mass production.

Which receiver modules work with Ling-T3A?

Use compatible Ling-R1-series receiver/decoder modules. Confirm the ordered receiver mode and final system behavior before purchase.

Does Ling-T3A require an external antenna?

No. Ling-T3A uses an on-board antenna. Keep the antenna area clear in the completed product.

Can it transmit several key values?

Yes. The four key inputs support individual and combined values; use isolation diodes for combined-key wiring.

What voltage should the key inputs use?

Key inputs are active-high and must not receive a voltage above VCC directly.
